I don’t know about you but I try to take one event at a time. Vienna’s birthday took up half of our January but our baby girl is SIX now! She was so particular about what was important to her. I assume that continues as kids get older and more opinionated. She’s still adjusting to her new age but I think she’s most sad about the fact that her birthday is now the furthest one away. Lol. Real life 6-year old struggles. She is my artsy-girl and our friends and family were so thoughtful in giving her fun things to do.
As January starts wrapping up, I’ve been thinking a lot about Valentine’s Day and an upcoming trip to Portland, OR. We are not huge Valentine’s Day celebrators but we do love to make sure the kids feel extra loved and that we get a dinner out together. Honestly, nothing too much different that we normally do but we do like to add reds and pinks:). Evan is actually to one who does the cute things for the kids. I’m most excited about helping Vienna with her class Valentines. She is such a little girl about doing cutesy things for her classmates.
I love wearing REDS!! It’s such a fun bright color and I love that it can be wore year around with the right shades and styles. This coat from Forever 21 (ONLY $55) is a perfect addition to my wardrobe as it can be worn so many ways and with so many colors. I have a lot of red shoes so it’s fun to pair it with a simple, neutral outfit and layer with this coat. This dress was love at first sight, it totally works for winter and I can’t wait to wear it throughout the spring and summer. It has great lines and pleats, the length is perfect and doesn’t need a slip extender, cardigan or tank top. MODEST WIN! The print it so fun, yet classic. I love sharing these kinds of finds.
I would love to know what you guys do for fun on Valentine’s Day, date ideas, activities for the kids, etc! It’s always fun to hear other people traditions:).
