When we decided to build, we didn’t have very much info about true client satisfaction on builders or the building process SO HERE IT GOES MINE. We looked through hundreds of houses for over 2 years, liking some but never loving anything. It was a long, depressing process. We toured just about every model home in the valley and open houses every Saturday. Our 3 little kids had the routine down well! Poor things, it was rough on them but they did enjoy running around when there was open spaces.
We contacted a real estate agent, Mindy Cronquist, as we were in search of a warrior, someone to have our backs and simplify the process. We let her know were interested in building with Flagship, both for location, style/layout and financial likelihood. We received information from Dustin, over sales, regarding available lots, floor plan options in our price range and perks to building with Flagship. It was fun to dream and he made it all sound sparkly. We narrowed down our lot and floor plan options to ones in our price ranges: The Redwood, The Spruce, The Oak and The Elm. The lot was an easy to pick, as being in a cul-de-sac was a top priority. We visited each of the 6 subdivisions at Water’s Edge where we would be able to build those floor plans. The only available lot in a cul-de-sac AND in our price range was at Bridgeport. As luck would have it, there was an Oak in the foundation process and on a larger lot. As a side (but important) note, building with Flagship, we knew we wouldn’t be able to get the half acre we had hoped for but they offered a 6-acre park, playgrounds, splash pad, pools, fitness facility and a 6-mile paved trail to enjoy. Weighing our options, we hope it will fulfill our young family needs. After visiting the lot 3 times and seeing the actual lot dimension, we pulled the trigger, signed on the lot and wrote a check for 1% of the purchase price. Here are a few pictures of the beginning stage…..
….And stay tuned for part #2:)
